Urgent Message - Need Your Help for Me to Still Legally Practice
Please Help ME!
There is a new bill at the Appropriations Committee in Colorado that, if passed, would make it a Class 6 Felony for me to practice. If you could contact your representatives tomorrow via e-mail or phone and let them know that you oppose this bill it would be greatly appreciated.
The bill number is HB 09-1175.
The Appropriations Committee is only considering the financial aspect of this bill so here are some points you could consider.
· This bill would continue to grow the size of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) at a time when other more deserving state agencies are suffering massive cuts and jobs are being lost in droves in the private sector.
· No sufficient exemptions exist in this bill for traditional naturopaths, homeopaths, nutritionists, herbalists, or other natural health providers who practice in Colorado.
· If the approximately 16,000 alternative health practitioners are not able to work, this will mean a massive loss of state income tax revenue for Colorado.
